After what felt like a lifetime of planning, I was finally able to visit Japan with my family this month. I'm sure I'll make a vid or separate blog post about it on the homepage, so I'll just be sharing my small haul from the trip here.
First, I want to note that despite any online popularity, merchandise was incredibly scarce in many well-known locations; Scouring Akihabara and Shibuya landed me with almost nothing that piqued my interest with such inflated "collector's" pricing. I decided instead to support an official (and reasonably priced) establishment by visiting the Toei Animation Museum in Nerima. Unfortunately they had cleared most of their Digimon merchandise to make way for their newest franchise, but I was still able to snag a handful of keychains and a few Tamers plushies! (Our goodest boy Guilmon was no where to be found...)
Later, by almost complete chance of seeing them on a single hook in the Hita Daiso, I found a handful of charms and buttons. And finally, a Tailmon/Gatomon figure in the Numazu Bookoff. Despite searching a few more Daiso and Bookoff throughout the two-week trip, I wasn't able to find anymore Digimon merch.

We may be moving soon, so once the collection is recollected in a proper place, I'll make another update to share everything else!
